Review from Mike J
Downloaded the game, loved it. My only concern is, why not the winning person have at least two points, together with the other scores the person got. Just to be fair on the winner
November 16, 20161st place scores 3 points if winning equally rated players. We made those depending on rating to prevent strong players hunting down novices. This way many players prefer playing with people with close ratings.
I would give this 5 stars but the way the rating system works it rewards players for 2nd and 3rd place. In doing so it removes much of the gameplay dynamic that makes hearts what it is. In hearts there are 3 losers and one winner, which pits everyone against the current leader; this is absolutely missing on this app.
I used to love this game, but for some reason the past 9 times I played, I was either dealt the queen of spades but no chance to play her away or shoot the moon, OR the king and ace with only one other spades cards. Possibly just unlucky, but it's no longer fun when it feels the game is rigged. Maybe I'll return to the game at some other time, but for now I will delete and install another app. Thank you the enjoyable times in the past.
I've tried several of these hearts games and so far this appears to be the best. No pop ups or interruptions. The game functions are exceptional. My data usage went through the roof even though I wasn't playing online. Had WiFi off accidentally and used almost 1 gig a day.
The game is filled with terrible players who get rewarded for playing terribly. There is no second, third and fourth place in a proper game. The worst feature of all is the ability to look back and see what cards have already been played in the middle of a hand. What genius thought this was a good idea?
Very very bad app, most of the times the shuffling is biased. I have played over 3000 game and in every non-passing term of the game, I have got 2 of clubs. This can not be just a coincidence.
App fails to distribute cards in a random fashion. The first hand is always a moon shot. App regularly stacks cards in a fairly regular pattern. The app is better than some but the developers need to work on more random distribution of cards. App developers track use IP to adjust odds of winning.
