Just downloaded this on a Samsung Galaxy and it worked first time ... when I held it far enough away for the camera to focus. At first I was holding the camera close, trying to fill the square frame in the app, but the camera can't focus on things that close. So I backed it off slowly and the camera focused when the code was about 1/3 the size of the square. That's a phone issue, not an app issue. PS that was a code on a leaflet which wasn't completely flat either so I'm impressed. Only 4 stars cos it's day 1 - we'll see how it goes.
Horrible... Can't even reliably scan QR codes from kaspersky, let alone any other source. App always say "code can't be scanned, check Internet connection." My connection is fine for every other app installed. Plus the camera portion is incredibly slow -- it takes *minutes* to scan a code that is perfectly focused. Samsung S6 edge
Galaxy s5 Pretty crap. Its dependency on a Wi-Fi network dropped my rating from a 3 to a 2. QR Bar code scanner is superior in EVERY way and it's about 9mb lighter. Yeah it's kaspersky but a turd by any other name....
Works horribly on the Nexus 5X. The app does not seem to interact properly with the camera. Everything is upside-down and reversed, making it quite difficult to properly position the camera. Different apps were picking up QR codes in 5 seconds that this app didn't seem to capture in over 2 minutes of trying. Uninstalling.
Qr test I found it can't handle qr codes that are the size of a finger print (at least on my device) but I was impressed that when I paused an episode of Eureka in season 5 and tried to scan a military code it was able to successfully read the code recognise it as advertising and take me to the site. The impressive thing was handling the pixels generated from a digital screen source rather than a static paper one.
Duh hell Why the hell would you use an inverted view finder. Absolutely garbage. After ten mins trying to get it to line up I rage quit. Way to screw the pooch on this one. Doubt I will trust other software you release for desktop and mobile.
