Just downloaded this on a Samsung Galaxy and it worked first time ... when I held it far enough away for the camera to focus. At first I was holding the camera close, trying to fill the square frame in the app, but the camera can't focus on things that close. So I backed it off slowly and the camera focused when the code was about 1/3 the size of the square. That's a phone issue, not an app issue. PS that was a code on a leaflet which wasn't completely flat either so I'm impressed. Only 4 stars cos it's day 1 - we'll see how it goes.
First, it wouldn't let me click "continue" to start, so I rebooted my phone. Now the camera only shows up upside down, and it takes multiple attempts to get the settings or any other options to work. I couldn't line up the upside-down camera to actually test it.
The app is good but you should improve the contact card scanning. It cannot detect two phone numbers from a vCard QR code. Moreover it can't open addresses in Google Maps or visit a website scanned from vCard QR code which other apps can easily do. Please improve it. I really love Kaspersky and I know you can make this app perfect.
First impression of the reader was positive as it focused on the scanned code fast and got it even from an angle. Only 4 stars as I this is only first impression and after relatively few scans. Might even value this at 5 stars. Does what I got it for with no hiccups, better than what I had experience of older free one I used with my previous phone. Current phone is Honor 7
Horrible... Can't even reliably scan QR codes from kaspersky, let alone any other source. App always say "code can't be scanned, check Internet connection." My connection is fine for every other app installed. Plus the camera portion is incredibly slow -- it takes *minutes* to scan a code that is perfectly focused. Samsung S6 edge
Works horribly on the Nexus 5X. The app does not seem to interact properly with the camera. Everything is upside-down and reversed, making it quite difficult to properly position the camera. Different apps were picking up QR codes in 5 seconds that this app didn't seem to capture in over 2 minutes of trying. Uninstalling.
