Unique oldschool style

It has everything we love: neon, pixel art, a bit of outrun, tiny piece of synthwave, scanlines, VHS effects. What else anyone would want in a retro arcade game?

Amazing music

If you love 1980s then you definitely love good music. We’ve got professional soundtrack for you from a great synthwave artist - Beckett. That’s why we recommend you play with headphones to have a fully immersive experience.

Charismatic characters

Kevin: a typical 80s kid who mutated and gained superpowers
Buddy: best dog companion you've ever had (also very cute)
Friends: save your friends Joy, Darryl and Ben and they will help you on your dangerous journey. Just shake your phone to use their super powers.

Different modes

Normal mode: fun, challenging and addictive but not the hardest game ever
Hardcore mode: run, survive, test your reflexes (the way arcade is supposed to be played)
Rage mode: what others call zen we call rage, let your inner anger out!

Top Run was developed by a family of two people who adores 80s and wanted to create a fun game for adults who are nostalgic about 1980s and a game for kids who love addictive and challenging action.

The game is free with ads, there is no way someone can pay to win in this game, everything is completely fair. If you’d like to support us, you can buy a full game that will unlock everything for you and give you additional playable retro pixel arcade! A game within a game! Yay!

This game is pretty entertaining. The music is fun and synth-heavy, the environments are pretty, and most characters animate smoothly. This game just needs a little more polish on the technical aspects- the controls are a bit delayed, some enemies are unavoidable, in-game currency is earned very slowly, and the main character's voice lines are repeated a lot with no variation. Plus, waiting real time for the ability to play is awful. Otherwise, it's a great time-killer.

Thank you so much for downloading Top Run! We are a team of two people with low budget, so the variety of voice lines depends on it. Controls delay is connected to the engine we are using, but we are working on minimizing it. Thank you for your feedback. It is very valuable for us. It helps us make Top Run better!

Updated Review paid the $6 for everything and it's not bad, it's just not very exciting? idk. i do like the art style though and everything looks smooth. the controls are better now with the buttons. however there seems to be a delay when pressing a button. it's slight, but noticable. also the update wiped my progress and and upgrades. keep up the good work, guys! you'll get there!

First of all, thank you for your purchase, it means a ton to us! Update 2: Delay is connected to a game engine we're using, but we're working on minimizing it. Thank you for staying with us! :) Update 3: We've released an update which should fix progress losses and also introduces cloud saving.

The art is great, the music is great, but the game is very average. It feels slow, the jumping feels laggy, and the enemy types aren't very interesting. I played it last night and tried again this morning. However, when I opened up the game, I had to watch an advertisement just to play. I know it's meant to mimic old arcades, but this is a bit ridiculous. That's poor game design and makes you seem greedy. I'm uninstalling and giving 2/5 because the art and music are really great.

We're sorry you didn't enjoy the game as much as we wish you would! Sorry about that ad, it's definitely a bug. They're only supposed to play after you die, once every three runs. Our game wasn't really made for profit. Thank you for trying it out, and if you have any ideas on how to improve Top Run - send us an email at contactkatata@gmail.com!

What's new

- Added support for ultra-long screens (with letterboxing)
- Top Run can now run at 90 or 120 fps on some devices
- Fixed a bug when Cybervaders score wouldn't be saved
- A ton of other improvements and bug fixes
