pretty, but impossible to learn from on its own. it is just a few quizzes. there is not even an answer key. without some background in Quenya, the quizzes are inscrutable. you are left to figure out what words mean through trial and error. in all, very pretty but not very useful in most cases. i can think someone with a firm grasp on the language who just wants to memorize phrases and vocabulary could find it useful. But honestly, at that point, it's best to use a spaced repetition app.

I was so delighted to find this app! It's designed beautifully and thoughtfully. You do have to "guess"/ go by intuition at first if you don't know any elvish (Quenya), but the words are grouped in such a way that it's easy to get an overview over, and I find you learn quickly. I cannot vouch for the accuracy of the words and phrases (though it seems the creator put much thought and love into it), because I don't have the necessary books yet. But in the meantime it's great fun! Part 2 comment...

How are we supposed to learn when all the app basically offers is a bunch of tests. It doesn't teach anything or tell you what you got wrong or right in those tests, so what's the point. I've had to sit through basically 2 min of ads to get nothing of value in the end. What a shame.
