About this app

CattleSort keeps track of your livestock’s shipping, branding, and sexing records. With our patented voice controlled custom keypad, entering animals into a list has never been easier. You will never lose a list made on a pad and paper again and your records will be one click away at all times. This app was created by a cow calf producer and all functions are based on real life experiences with real solutions to our industries simplest problems. It was created for cattle but is compatible with all livestock.

All data saved on your phone can be accessed and sorted at Cattlsort.com once you are a registered user.

Functions within CattleSort include:

Simple Sort- perhaps the simplest and most useful is the ability to put any list numerical order.

Pair Up- pairs up lists to know which animals are missing.

Auto fill- put your first and last number in and we will fill in the numbers in the middle for you.

Side by Side- lets you view any two lists side by side.

Sex- this function will separate out male and females so you know how many of each sex you have in said list.

Sort By Color- sorts different tag colors from one list into separate lists.
Check Off- lets you check off lists and save checked and unchecked cows separately.

My Animal Herd- you can also input all of your herds’ tag and bangs numbers so you can later use at any time. This is useful for operations shipping across state lines, as you can simply put your animals Primary ear tag number into the system and it will draw all other data saved, so you can now send it to the vet for your health papers. If you already have all your tag info saved in an Excel spreadsheet you can sign in to our website and import all data so you don’t have to input individual animals manually.

Ratings and reviews

Great in theory. The app will shut down when you are not connected to the network, loosing any data that you may have loaded. I have been trying to use the whole program for over a month and I am not sold on it. Make it easier to add pairs so you don't have to make another list. Have it so I can type in a number out of the original list to make another list instead of check boxes.

I think this will be a very useful app. However, I find it slows down as I add animals. Also it would be very useful to have a side by side checkoff list, which would help when pairing out. I like the idea of the app, but at this point it does nothing more than I can do in Google Sheets, and that is actually easier when using filters. I will not be paying to use this, at this point.

Was very difficult to navigate and I couldn't put in all the info on each animal that I wanted. Says there's a free trial but charges the yearly rate same day and says no refund. I deleted the app within hours of download because it was so confusing. Might be better for a bigger operation or feed lot.
