Hall of fame radio personality Bobby Rich, legacy station manager Jim Arnold and local downtown champion Fletcher McCusker have joined forces to launch a new Tucson owned-and-operated commercial radio station in Tucson at 101.7FM and AM830. Branded as The DRIVE, KDRI Tucson originates 24/7 broadcasting from Scott and Broadway downtown. The station is designed to appeal to baby boomers whose radio options have become overlooked and underserved by local radio. With a catalog of over 2,000 songs, the distinctive presentation will be unlike anything in the region and maybe in the country.

Being a 50+ native Tucsonan, I've listened to just about every station in town and all types of music. This is refreshing to be able to listen to non-top 40 and repetitive songs. Thanks! 👍

Closing (not minimizing) the app without first pausing the stream does not stop the background service. So, the app is not running but the music continues. Fail.

Absolutely THE BEST music station in Tucson! The on-air personalities are local people who are part of our community, unlike other stations in the area who are a part of mass media empires that transmit ftpm afar. Love that this station came along. I've actually reduced my time listening to my playlist on other stteaming services!
