Mimari (also known as "Mimamori" in Japanese) is a watch-over app for keeping a gentle eye on an older family member who lives alone, using only their smartphone.
They live as usual.
You can notice.
No dedicated device. No carrier-specific contract. When your loved one carries their phone and goes about daily life, Mimari helps family members notice changes sooner.
■ The phone they already have becomes watch-over support
- No GPS device, sensor hardware, or installation work required.
- Mimari uses the sensors already built into the smartphone.
- All features are currently free during the trial operation period.
■ Three ways to notice
- Notice inactivity: family is notified when the phone shows no movement for a long time.
- Notice a possible fall: Mimari detects strong impacts that may indicate a fall and asks the person to confirm they are OK.
- Deliver "help": a long press of the SOS button alerts family when the person needs help.
■ More support for everyday watch-over
- Low battery alerts: family is notified when the phone's battery runs low.
- Location sharing: family can check where the loved one is.
- Follow-up alerts: Mimari resends notifications after 30, 90, and 210 minutes to make alerts easier to notice.
- Phone-left-behind indication: when the phone has been motionless for a long time but is likely just set down, Mimari shows that status differently to reduce unnecessary alarm.
■ Designed for the person being watched over
- Large text and large buttons. A single home screen keeps operation simple.
- Watch-over continues even when the app is closed.
- The person being watched can turn each detection feature on or off at any time.
■ For family members
- Watch over multiple loved ones from a single dashboard.
- Receive alerts on LINE as well as in the app.
- Review notification history at any time.
■ Easy family connection
The person being watched and their family connect by sharing an invite code (QR code supported) generated within the app. No phone number lookup or contacts permission required.
■ Privacy
User information is stored on Google's Firebase servers over encrypted connections. We do not sell data to third parties. Please see the in-app Privacy Policy for full details.
■ Important note
Mimari is designed to help family members notice changes more quickly. It does not guarantee safety, and notifications may be delayed or missed depending on network conditions or device state. In an emergency, please contact your local emergency services (e.g., 911, 119, 112) directly. Mimari is not a medical device and is not an emergency dispatch service.
