WHY NO TOP DEVELOPER RECOGNITION YET? One of the best apps that I've ever purchased! A must have for rooted users. One suggestion to the devs, enable us to schedule custom backups where we can include/exclude individual apps. And the option of choosing apk and/or data for individual apps being backed up. Just user installed or system apps is good but my suggestion would be great! Thanks for an awesome app. Been using for over 5 years now!
Great App! Confused as to why Titanium Backup is shown as a default for messaging in settings. Also, when trying to convert user apps into system apps, Titanium Backup has uninstalled several of them during the process. These seem to be the only issues that I've encountered in what is the best app used for backup (and so much more) of root devices.
Don't know why people praise this app. I write programs and have worked with computers and tablets and phones for over 20 years, yet this UI is so ugly and confusing. Very difficult to figure out HOW to actually make or restore backups. I made a backup, but can't seem to figure out how to restore just one app, looks like you have to restore everything or nothing. This app does not make automatic backups. I've used other apps, that would backup an app when installing, allowing me to have multiple copies. This app is just plain ugly and useless.
Awesome app the gui is very weird. Even after using it many times i cant understand fully well the gui. Also it fails on many restores. On android 5.1 they wont fix when tb hangs. You have to try several times for restore to finish all task. Very annoying. Converting app to system hangs tb.it works but you need to restart phone.
With latest update getting error: batch Backup Interrupted ; insufficient free space. Rooted OPO with Cyanogen 12.1 & android 5.1. OK folks, TB back to 5 stars. TB error was not caused by its latest update. Error was generated due to an update to "Super SU" that now selects 'Mount namespace separation' in its setting options by defaults. To rectify situation simply go the SU settings and untick the option 'Mount namespace separation' . Close SU and reboot your device. Following reboot TB backup will work
This is absolutely the first app u gotta have after rooting! With Dropbox Sync, I won't ever hav 2 worry abt losing my app list, settings & data after flashing diff ROMs. One minor annoyance: although I paid for the Pro version years ago, Google Play Store still shows me as only eligible for the free version. But this is not a problem, as I stored the multi-digit Pro key in the root directory and Ti was somehow able to find it.
• Fixed issue that prevented TB 126.96.36.199 from being installed on ancient Android platforms. Now it works again, down to Android 1.5!
Manage SUPERUSER ACCESS and uninstall BLOATWARE for rooted Android devices.
