Works great, & most effective of them all This makes life easy with different android phones & tablets, I use it on all 3. Set to minimal & forget. Using power button (to off screen) becomes a thing of the past. I like the little green icon in notification area(you have to chanel the color in settings) showing me it's working.
Works great! #2/5/14 # Latest update has eliminated lag issues with my lock screen and works perfectly again with my DInc2! #1/8/14# Previous pro version worked on my HTC DInc2. Used it for years w/o any issue and was very happy with it. But latest update (1/5/14) made my phone slow and unresponsive. Had to uninstall to get phone working normal again. Luckily, Screebl Classic is available for download which works as expected. Overall a great app, bit disappointed the pro version I paid for no longer works for me.
Pocket lock doesn't fully work on my phone. I purchased the pro version for the pocket lock feature. My phone (Nexus 4 with lollipop) locks OK, but doesn't unlock. I have tried different timings in the settings. I even ended up purchasing app twice while trying to fix it by uninstalling/reinstalling as Screebl Pro didn't register on Play, even though the Pro version showed up on my Phone. I contacted the developer, but got no assistance. Disappointing! A reluctant 3 Star rating because the free portion of Screebl works, but I had that for free.
Essential app for heavy users. I am constantly picking up my phone & messing with it. Up, down, up, down...like attending a Catholic mass. Screebl saves my power button. Set timeout to Minimal or 5 seconds and never use the power button to turn off screen again! And developer is very quick to respond to emails. I wish all devs were so attentive.
A sad day...I can no longer recommend this app. Sadly, I have to update and downgrade my review for Screebl. It just plain doesn't work with the latest version of Android (Lollipop) and it looks like messages to the developer's forum are going unanswered. Screebl was the one app that has followed me since my first Android device, a 2010 HTC Incredible. It has worked faithfully right up until last week when I received the Lollipop update. If the developer would tell us that he's working on fixing it, I would definitely change my tune, but alas, we are hearing nothing at all and this problem seems to not unique to my experience.
What can I do to Keep Screebl Enabled? Every time I turn my phone on, I have to play a song and dance of re-enabling Screebl several times until the icon in the Notification bar matches the description which reads - device within orientation. And it unchecks the enable Screebl box each time as well with no input from me? Disable when charging does not function for me.
3.0.50 - Sorry for the thrash! This should do it for now. Fix a few more issues on some devices.
3.0.48 - Turn off foreground service, for those that insist on removing notifications!
3.0.45 - Proximity bug, in-call functionality
3.0.34 - This is a ground-up rewrite of Screebl, focusing on hardware, battery consumption, new features, and stability.
Note: If you wish to continue using Screebl 2.x, "Screebl Classic" is available in the Google Play Market for free download.
