Door Kickers: Action Squad is a crazy old school side scroller action game that puts you in the role of a SWAT trooper and sends you to deal with the bad guys in Nowhere City USA.

Choose your gear, then kick the doors down and face the action. Adapt and react by the seat of your pants, and if needed – restart without a care and rethink. Master weapons recoil and time your reloads, use distance and cover to your advantage and use the in-game Strategic Abilities to decide for yourself when healthpacks or gear refills are needed. Or just save up the Points earned and unleash your Ultimate to waltz through that tricky final room.

It's pretty fun, I admittedly spent more time playing a few times than intended just because I got drawn in. A few character are pretty much useless beyond the first chapter or two unfortunately. Id like it if there was actually a stealth way to do more, but for what it is, it's worth a play. Music is great. You need to play with sound due to audio cues about hostage execution.

I like this game so much more than the first door kicker game. This one starts with straight up action arcade at the beginning, then more strategic and logistic planning as the game progresses. Plenty of actions and excitment even if the game is only a 2-D side scroller. Even with the 8-bit style graphics, this game has so much realism, especially the corpses stay where they drop until the end of the game. Obeying the laws of the physics also make this game a pleasure to play.

Same problem with locked levels. It's an obvious bug on some devices. I'm on a Samsung Galaxy s21 so it's a pretty common device. For those experiencing the same problem. I discovered a workaround. Go into the infinity tower game mode and just let them kill you. Then go back into classic mode and the next level will be available to you. Kind of a pain but it worked for me. DEVELOPER: This will change to 5 stars once you address this issue.
