Kids Place – Parental Control & Kids Mode

Kids Place is a dedicated Kids Mode app that helps parents create a controlled environment for their children on phones and tablets. With Kids Place, parents can set screen time, and block unapproved apps — giving children a space to play, learn, and explore. Kids Place uses app package names to control access. It does not view or read the content inside apps — blocking is rule-based on approved apps (package names), not on app content.

Accessibility Service Permission(Optional): Used to lock the notification bar and prevent kids from leaving Kids Mode.

Ratings and reviews

Used to be better. I have used this for years. It takes just a few seconds to change which apps they're allowed to access, so I use that to only allow certain games at certain times. there is no junk with this app. My main problem is that it frequently randomly goes off the app altogether, which completely negates usefulness, or it will freeze or crash when trying to use a timer. I have factory reset the phone, updated the app, etc. This just keeps happening randomly. Looking for a different app

Finally got my phone off of what I think was Korean. I had this ap for years and it worked, then suddenly it stopped. My child can get out and get into any app in my phone. Has made phone calls, posted nonsense on facebook, all sorts of things. For 2 months I have uninstalled, reinstalled, updated, done everything possible. I thought it was fixed, having no problems for a week. Today she managed to change the language on my phone and order something on Amazon.

We've used this app off and on over the last 5+ years. When it works, it works pretty well. With my youngest, I have only used it with the (paid) picture viewer add on (no other apps). It was working only intermittently, with the picture viewer often failed to open without repeatedly trying and exiting or partially exiting Kids Place. After a recent phone reset, I downloaded both apps again and now the picture viewer usually won't open at all - if it does, it's only by accident. Frustrating.
