Best video recording app in general. Read tweets, listen to music, react to two girls one cup, YOU NAME IT. The app has an optional hovering monitor that can be scaled to any size, and since it records in the background you can do other stuff while recording. The quality settings are easily accessed and simple to understand, and the output is on par at least with the phones built in camera app. BONUS: it flawlessly supports an external microphone. The "spy" function is really only a bonus. Could use a pause button, and some sorta quick launch.
Best recorder! I've had tried multiple different secret recorders. All of them were ok. What I was looking for in a recorder was a way to use my Google maps and take phone calls on my Bluetooth, while my phone is recording when I'm driving. Also I found really quick was the recordings take a lot of internal memory and it will stop recording in the middle of me driving. I'm so happy I found this recorder! Now I can record, have full access of my phone, and have it use my external memory.
Recording stops, paid app back to ads This is a great idea, and the demo was promising. But this app is not reliable at all. The recording stops randomly after few seconds. With or without error. You never really know if it's recorded until you look in gallery. It makes few seconds videos at best. Had to uninstall my paid version, and ads are back. Edit: works on internal storage, and adverts are out - just click on remove ads, it will remove without charging again. Developer: have customizable shortcuts front/bk camera
Steal a package now! I can fragment and schedule recordings to monitor my doorstep and have a piece of mind, without the screen being on. Night vision doesn't seem to help much though, and I'm not leaving the flash on to record all night, but so far more solid than others.
Does a good job, just needs some minor improvements Does what it says it does, seems to be the only secret camera app that allows you to select your SD card as the location. However, the recording duration isn't truly unlimited as it will stop when it hits 4gb file size. This happens whether I'm recording to either the phone's internal storage or to an exfat-formatted SD card. The app either needs to be able to intelligently start recording to a new file when it hits the file size limit, or it needs to give us an option to auto-split the files by file size.
Pros: Has a convenient one-click record/stop button. Allows recording with the screen off or with other apps on the screen. Haven't seen any ads yet. Cons: The one-click option is useless to me because it won't record widescreen; it always assumes the phone is right-side up. Bringing the app up on the screen to record does allow widescreen, but is cumbersome to bring it up and then take it off the screen, and also always assumes your phone is turned counter-clockwise if it is sideways, which is annoying for me since I'm left-handed and want to turn it clockwise.
