About this app

KIRI Engine is a 3D scanning app based on photogrammetry technologies. Thanks to our partnerships with the top-tier cloud service providers in the world, KIRI Engine is the only cloud-based 3D scanning app available for both iOS and Android. It’s probably the most affordable photogrammetry app in the market too, the app is free to download, and users have free 3D scans every week. For a small monthly fee, the app provides more powerful options to increase scan quality.

KIRI Engine has many features, we’ve highlighted a few for you just to show how awesome it is:
1. The 3D model comes with textures, it looks so real when you put the model into an augmented reality application.
2. Sometimes size matters, we provide low-poly options so the 3D model would always have the right size for the application.
3. The raw 3D model is cleaner with our auto noise removal. This feature will definitely become one of your favorites if you hate post-editing the 3D model like us.

Works pretty well for what it is. Fun and easy to use. Wish some of the settings had info as to what they actually do. Takes a bit of experimenting to get decent usable models. Good lighting, reduced background clutter, more pics and a better camera all work in your favor. I used an actual camera and transfered pics to my phone. That seemed to result in better scans and models (w/ low texturing enabled). Most models do require quite a bit of clean-up. So far this is the best scanner for Android.

Thanks for the great review. Photogrammetry is indeed a technology that requires a learning curve to get better results, and we are working on improving the experience so that the technology is more accessible. If you have any questions please feel free to let us on at contact@kiri-innov.com

This is so awesome and they keep making it more awesome. You can scan so many things that come out looking amazing. It's great for 3d printing people that want to scan things to print but can't spend the hundreds of dollars for a scanner. The free scans are really great but the premium scans look just like the actual object. The developers are very open to suggestions and like I said earlier, always improving the app.

Works well. Photo count requirement is a little high for my taste. Wish I could add a lower count, but it's not like it's a quality issue, but rather a time concern, for some scans are simple objects you see, and should not, in my opinion, require 70 pics, but I am nitpicking here for sure....Overall it is a quality service. Worth the money for premium. Good job, please allow for lower Pic counts for simple surfaced objects.

Thank you very much for the review. Actually, the minimum pics requirement is 20 pics, 70 pic is actually the maximum a free user can shoot per scan. we are sorry if our UI caused you confusion, we will bring this issue to the team and hope we can make the workflow clearer in the next updates.
