Not great Why do you force tablet users to use the app? The website is far superior to it. When you zoom into a place you want only to be offered maps that cover the same area and level not all countries. The offered maps are not in any apparent order, so hard to find the right one.
You have to know how to use it All those that say images are blurry....you have to click on the link that says web, then click view on digital collection. It then brings you to the zoomable image via the website that has the image....like NYPL for instance. This app is an awesome collection of shortcuts, not the maps themselves.
Rubbish What I thought could be a good app wasn't. On my phone, a Samsung galaxy s7, it keeps stopping and I'm getting the message popping up saying 'unfortunately old maps has stopped'. This has happened repeatedly every time I open the app. Unfortunately I will now be deleting it. If this isssue is fixed with a future update then that would be great, maybe then I could leave a better review.
Waste of time Use the website. Much better than the app. I found it impossible to navigate round the app version, perhaps a map would help.
Needs a lot of work Good idea, but doesn't work well. Zooming in and out is hard, panning impossible. Image loading is slow - when it works. The web interface is much better.
Total rubbish. Nothing like the website. Type in a location and you end up with maps of Europe and all sorts. Nothing really in depth and detail. Don't waste your time.
