Well, it's never actually found a virus to destroy, so I can't sassy that it does that part of its job well; but it does scan all of the appsI download, and reminds me to scan my phone if its been too long. So I am willing to say with conviction that this virus scanner does the job that I needed when I downloaded it - ie something to detect viruses. It's q quick and easy to use and doesn't bombard you with ads. Well worth downloading, it gives me peace of mind.
Dig the layout and ease of use. Wanted to believe in the company despite all the bad press anything Russian receives. Amongst smartphone techs, Kaspersky is still a name worthy of having to protect your important stuff. But, there is a NYT article which indicates how Russian officials accessed Kaspersky antivirus software on PCs in the US to steal information from govt employees. This information shared by Israeli intelligence. It's damming information. With that said. Time to try a different company. I don't want to think Kaspersky was in on it.
I was using the free trial version, but now they are asking me to pay to continue thw service. I want to deactivate the app but it doesn't allow me. Whenever I go to the uninstall screen, it automatically locks my phone and I need to unlock ahain. Again, when I try to uninstall, it's the same drama. I am am using Kaspersky on my laptop, without any problem and I am an active subscriber for years now, but the mobile version is terrible!!
Seems to work pretty well. I probably will never use anything else. However, the latest update as of today 10/4/17, tells me very briefly, upon boot up that my subscription has expired and will not auto scan. It corrects itself with a couple seconds and is fine. This issue started as soon as I updated my app to this version. Not a big deal, really, but I do find it to be irritating none the less.
Annoying pop-ups "rate us" come up very often. There is no "forget it" button. Just the "do it later" button. Also - if you click 5 stars - you get redirected to play store to rate them... I clicked 2 and... Of course nothing happened :-)
Internet protection is useless bc only supports default. I am using Firefox and has been synced with my pcs and all other devices for years. I am not going to change to default browsers and start from zero or manually moving all bookmarks. I do not use some other additional functions since I have set up different apps for those. Hence 3 stars
