Ratings and reviews

From a paid subscriber: Please hide the top ribbons with "Star 55th Anniversary Logo" and "The Star logo ribbon" when we scroll down the app. These annoying and unnecessary ribbons (e.g. Nexus) have reduced my screen size significantly (even with a Samsung Ultra device with large screen) while browsing articles. Can your developer download reputable news apps like Bloomberg and CNN, and see how it is done? Top ribbons should only appear when we scroll up, and hidden when we scroll down!

12/02/26: there's a bug in the app. ads are blinking. uninstalled & switched to Lumi 06/08/26: still blinking, so irritating. uninstalled

In the past you can just read the articles with ads, then they made you sign up using your email. Annoying because the app doesn't keep you signed in over time, you have to log in manually, but whatever, fine. Next, even with log in, they require your name and mobile number to read the articles. Latest update, 80% of articles are locked unless you subscribe. Articles lacking depth, constantly having 404 errors and littered with typos do not warrant a paid subscription.
