I'm not too familiar with various ebook apps and neither am I too fussy, but I have a nostalgic appreciation for Kobo every so often when I download it again on a new device and can continue reading books in my library. I haven't had any issues with it either. What's not to like? It's a nice app!
Good - and getting better! The Kobo applications across multiple platforms are improving steadily. A large library with reasonable prices funnels into a solid and easily navigable application with customizable reading (and listening!) options. The sole drawback I encounter currently is an occasional local library deletion (all items are still easily re-downloaded). Screen flickering issues in past versions are now nearly eliminated. I prefer this digital library to others currently on the market. Read and enjoy!
It's a nice app, it doesn't lag on my android phone. It always saves where you stopped reading so that if you read something else and go back to your other book, you'll be able to continue reading where you left off. It also tells you how much you read of the novel. It has a great store full of millions of titles. Whatever you want can be found on the Kobo store. Highly recommend. Don't put any updates it's great the way it is right now. .
I've tried all other reading apps but stuck to this one. Great interface, just the essential functions, integrated dictionary and Google and Wikipedia search. Please address these issues for 5 stars. Import from SD card only imports from internal memory and not the external memory. Page numbers shown are only pages in the chapter and not the entire book. Please show page number out of total pages of the book.
Works fairly well for books with only text. The main thing I had a problem with was how it split up diagrams by basically breaking them into tiles that are split up across pages, making them nonsensical. There should be an option to see the whole picture/diagram via pop up window or pinch/zoom.
All it does is show books for sale. When logged in there is no way to get off the sale page and into my books. When I go directly into my books it won't open any of them. Just goes to the sales page, tells me I already have the book..takes me to the book in my books then when I cluck on it...back to the bloody sale page! Like ground hog day but worse. Bring back the proper Kobo app!
