Ratings and reviews

Good alternative, app has problems. I like putting my money to someone other than Amazon. Kobo has great selection and competitive pricing, especially for the subscription. 5 stars to Kobo, fewer to the app. About once a chapter, in the middle of a sentence often, it will stop playback suddenly and occasionally close the app entirely. Really frustrating.

I use a Kobo device (Libra2) along with this accompanied app. The experience on one versus the other is night and day. While there are a few issues I have with my Kobo reader, in regards to speed and functionality, the Kobo mobile app is unusable. There's no point to comparing Kobo's app with other brands, the others just do it better, faster, and are more reliable. What bothers me the most in this regard, is how the simplest of functions is next to impossible to execute. Sad.

So far as I can tell, they have an interesting selection of books, but they do not have a shopping cart in the app, despite one being available on the website, and you have to buy each book one-at-a-time, though they do have a wish list you can put your would-be purchases in. When I created my account they gave me, supposedly, $10 towards my initial purchases, but when I purchased my first ebook for three bucks, I got charged from my payment methods.
