Please give us back the ability to sort books into a preferred reading order within a collection and have them stay in that order until they are intentionally re-arranged. We used to be able to do this way back on the Kobo Vox. I reread a number of books written in a series that may be stand alone stories but often refer to characters in previous stories . Most of the book covers do not state what book number in the series they are. It's annoying to have to go to another on line site to check what book is the next in the series. Even if books are not in a series books could be arranged within a collection in order of importance to the reader. We had this ability before, why can't we have it back? Also please give us more sort options when looking for books in the store or clearly state in synopsis that book is a novella or short story for those of us who don't want short stories. Why is the Kobo store different when accessed from the app vs accessed from a browser? Book synopses don't have the same info ( eg. The estimate of number of pages and approx reading time).
No "Add to Cart" button. I deleted my previous review because Kobo asked me to contact help support ort, so I thought it was user error. And then I was told there is no "Add to Cart" within the Android App... sheesh. I do a lot of my shopping through the app, and the lack of that button makes it impossible to take advantage of "Buy 2 get 1 free " sales. It really should be added. And Kobo, please do not respond with your standard offer of assistance, if this issue I have is not due to me making some error while using the app
Good reader... but I had one problem... At one point it quit displaying the book covers. Very irritating. I uninstalled it, and then reinstalled it. Now the covers load and once again I am a happy camper. I use the KOBO bookstore and their reader. Great service and I could not be happier.
I really like this possibility to ready a book in a app with a cool page effect and page marks and easy share. I like it so far. There are few points to improve: - to select text in different pages to share ( if the paragraph ends in the next page for example ) - to share the whole selected text in Facebook messenger ( the kobo advertising text is too big, there is no enoght space for my paragraph. ) - to unmark texts in the same way you mark it. ( Right now you need to go to the menu, then to the marked text, then find the text there, then select the option, then press delete. )
[update -- Still an excellent app (and much easier to read with on my new Sony Z2 :-), but still missing the possibility to synchronise side loaded books between devices.] Excellent app, even on this tiny (320x480) screen! Just a pity there is no way to sync "side loaded" books between my Kobo and phone.
My eyesight is fading so I use ebooks in order to adjust font size. This has increased my ability to find more books I can read comfortably. Thank you!
If you are seeing a blank sign-in or store page, please update your Chrome Browser or Android System WebView app.
