A previous version of this app from 3 years ago worked great on my device, Google Nexus, and in my opinion better. But this present version of the app does not function properly on my device. I can't get past the sign-in page and book store. No search button, shopping cart, my books etc as you would find online. I've updated all the necessary apps, uninstalled & reinstalled but no change. It's a shame. If there's something you can do to fix this, it would be appreciated. UPDATED - Thanks for fixing the problem. The app works great now and I am delighted!
This is the best ebook shopping app that I've found. I'm using a Digiland dl1026 tablet and have no problems downloading or shopping. Kobo does respond to user feedback and has improved this app several times. What I don't like is the very limited number of fonts and that on some books full size fonts still aren't big enough.
Just installed the app, but it seems broken. I am able to login, but cannot do much further, I do not see my books. And the Sign In text stays at the top. Also when I close and reopen the app, I need to sign in again. The app is completely useless for me. Edit: on my Mate 9 I had to add a Kobo account via the account settings on my mobile itself, not via the Kobo app!
Simply doesn't work! The app used to pick up where I left off on my reader, as the reader knows when I had been reading on the app. Not only has this ability disappeared, the app no longer even shows the book I'm reading - and yes, it was purchased from kobo. Total waste of time having it!
This app is ok. I prefer nook. The help section did not answer 2 questions on how to use the app. I found that frustrating. The pull down section at the top (time and such) covered part of the text but I could not make it go away. I ended up having to use the back button then tap kobo again. I also dont like that the font size is adjusted by a slide. It makes it difficult to adjust to my preferred size.
Now has decent bookmarks. Why can an app. not function according to the system language? Recently it has all gone Dutch, it used to be all English, what's gone wrong?? My own books are English still and the recommended are English, the rest are all Dutch!!!! Update: The dutch problem is getting even worse, now even the recommended are dutch!! PLEASE CAN WE HAVE A LANGUAGE SELECTOR I can find some titles in English but more and more what I am offered is in dutch - urgh. I am sure Kobo is not a dutch company. I will have to find a different supplier.
