Did a full back up (saving to PC via USB) prior to doing a factory reset on my Moto G. Reinstalled Helium after the reset, tried to restore and sync my apps on my phone, but keep getting "An error occurred while retrieving your app list".
After searching for drivers to connect to pc just to activate it, it would not back anything up on internal or external storage just to another site that required premium. Why would I pay for something that does nothing it advertises doing?
Leads you to believe you can move data. Fail. I'm trying to move my data from a rooted S3 to a stock S6. After spending 5 hours on this, I have managed to backup on the S3, copied to the W7 PC, copy from the PC to the S6, and still it won't recognize my backup files.
Painful, but (mostly) worked I'm writing this if anyone else is trying to duplicate your nvidia shield tablet that was rma'd in the battery recall. Honestly I just wanted data from a few big games copied. Many hours trying, tried pc downloads, and Dropbox uploads, got a lot of failures and stalls. Did manage 1 small Dropbox upload for a few games and data, even paid for the premium, though I can't say it was worth it. In the end, I found the option for device to device copying, worked well enough, but I believe I lost some progress.
Brilliant!! I backed up all my GS4 app data and restored it into my new GS5. That saved me so much hassle. SO MUCH! This app is superb! Thank you.
Great!! Did perfectly the task it was supposed to do. Backed up and restored my apps and game saves, after the installation of a new ROM
