Works fantastically... It just doesn't do exactly what i wanted it to and thought that it did. "Android to Android" app sync is not a live application synchronization feature. It is a manual app by app feature instead of a "when the data changes on one sync it to the other" kind of thing. This is what I am mainly hoping for and look forward to in the future. Otherwise it does what it says has fantastic sync/backup and restore features similar to titanium backup. For some reason though it has some apps labeled as backup disabled.
Genius! The N7(2012) is basically our son's, but of course I rooted it. Recently I followed Android Police's, instructions for updating to 4.3, and of course I returned it to full stock. Little people are so curious, you know. So, I'm a little concerned cause I backed up some of his games with Helium while rooted, is the unroofed restore gonna work? Wonderful though, I installed the windows Helium helper and restored complete. Thanks to Koush, I'm not on my four year olds naught list. :-)
Whao... One of its kind It is able to backup & restore app data of my apps without root permission (The app is only one of its kind). I just need to connect & disconnect with PC over USB once after device reboot. As I rarely reboot my devices, it's not a big sacrifice for such a big feature. What I loved most: App Data sync across devices. Superb work, man!
It worked... Then it stopped Tried to recently backup game data (past successful backup was about 45 days ago) and nothing happened. It would say backup in progress but it doesn't work anymore. Please fix. This has been the only backup app that I've found so far that works for me and I really don't want to look for another app. (Samsung galaxy note 4 - tmobile)
Don't buy it Had been using the free version happily for the last couple months with no problem. Paid for this to support the developer, and now it won't work at all. Repeatedly asks me to enable it (even though I don't turn off my device) every backup of every app gives me an error message, and reinstalling the app on my device and desktop made no difference. What had been a great app is now completely useless
A mixed bag This app is great, when it works. Which is about half of the time. I used it to transfer the progress of the games I play to new devices. Some of my games don't backup, but I've learned to live with this limitation. The last straw, however, came recently when I bought a OnePlus One. I cannot get neither the Windows companion app nor the Linux one to enable backup for this device. I've decided to uninstall it. I might use it again in the future if the developer gets it to work 100% reliably (that is, with all my devices and all my apps), but I'm not holding my breath.
Carbon was renamed to Helium. (trademark issues)
