Why does ROM Manager ask for account permissions?
Web Connect only needs to access your Google account to connect it to your google account. It can't access any private data or passwords.
ClockworkMod Touch Recovery:
ClockworkMod Touch recovery (and recovery) is work that needs to put in for every new device that is released by a manufacturer.
If work on ROM Manager ceased completely, all the premium features would continue working without issue. However, new recoveries do not port and build themselves. Without ClockworkMod Touch being a per device purchase, there is no way to recoup recurring server costs and labor. Keeping ROM Manager free and operational costs tens of thousands of dollars a year, and that does not include engineering costs.

Troubleshooting:
Droid users: Stuck at the "M" logo? Flash an alternate recovery and flash back to ClockworkMod.
HTC Users: Flash recovery not working? Try fastbooting a recovery on.
Droid X/2/Pro Users: You must run the Bootstrap application first to use ROM Manager.
Samsung users: You must flash a Clockwork compatible kernel first (see XDA forums)

Not working jflteatt Unable to use clockwork mod touch after purchase, support yet to reply to email. I purchased rom manager premium when it was still a separate app and I have purchased clockwork mod touch for two separate devices. Program will not install on my galaxy s4 and support skill not reply to my request for help.

Wtf What the hell happen to this app? Its just crap now to be honest. I can't delete it off my folders. I can't remove any of my backups. Takes up gigs of space.

Can't download any rooms get error Can't download any rom keep getting download error. So do alot of people on the forums. Needs updating. I'm premium too. Already purchased Cwm touch and now it says I have to pay again

Don't believe poor reviews The app does what it's supposed to. I run this on my nexus phones without a problem. All you people with issues either don't know what you are doing or your phones just suck. Much props to the dev

CMW Awesome....makes flashing ROMs quicker...I jus wish they would update the premium downloads...I have this for every Google device from the g1 and T-Mobile g2 all the way up to the nexus 5 and the premium download section is pretty much pointless the last 2 years
Terrible First you force me to buy this because clockwork recovery only works with your proprietary app. Then you charge me at least twice what similar apps cost and finally almost none of your custom Roms still exist or downloaded properly making the app pretty useless. And I know how to root, so this isn't some random rant. People, do not buy this.
doesn't work I downloaded cwm, I own an lg optimus g e975 ( rooted) tried to go into recovery to do a nandroid backup and when I go into recovery there's no backup/restore. I also paid for the touch thing to support the developer and to see how that works and I want a refund on that cause it doesn't even work, at least for my phone ( As I have seen other people have no problem with that). After a few tries it doesn't ever open recovery anymore .... either help me on this one or give me a refund, please, no hard feelings. I used to have cwm work perfectly on some other old devices I owed, so I don't really get what happened
What the? Ever since the update fixing permissions,it says I'm out of storage I'm unable to install anything......this has never happened I've been on android for so many years now..... This ruined my android,would be great if you made tests instead of 3 different fixes (updates)in 24 hours? update:now my phone is having troubles texting and my calls are dropping... All Thanks to the New permission fix, both my tablet and phone are screwed.
Clear and concise. Works as described ... creates backups, but have not tried restore yet. Update (without any "What's New" information) installed ... no idea what's changed in this update. Updated to 5.5.3.5: tried Permissions, nothing appears to happen : stuck on first, OI BarcodeScanner Updated to ...7: run fix permisions this now keeps prompting for super user access for each app being checked
MTK 6577 Salora powermaax z1 Nandroid I installed it for nandroid backup.Didn't enter the recovery, stuck at recovery logo. MTK DROID Tool helped to do the nandroid recovery. Had a guide in xda forum. I have no custom ROM support for my phone.So froze the app with r toolbox light. Does what it supposed to do. But not in all phones.
Pretty useless It's not up to date telling me there's no update our that the room didn't support its which is bollocks If it worked out would be great but the rooms are ancient all ics not jb falls don't offer inverted so it's very little use at all but with skin room and default kernel I seem to not have cwm I don't know why but this is what I am using with this odd Rom so it has a use even if it is mostly useless to me. And that's not a million that's a hundred thousand which is a tenth as much you can count but not
Fall from grace I have now just paid to unlock touch recovery on my M7 for what I think is the 5th time - only to find the version of ROM Manager it installs doesn't even work with the latest versions of the HTC One. All Koush seems to do is whine and make a once great piece of software more and more terrible.
No point in using it Backup-wise, this makes no sense at all. If you're using the free version, you can't download the backups to a PC unless you setup adb first. However, if you already know how to do that, you could just as well boot into recovery yourself. This only really works if you buy the premium version, and if you must buy the premium version in order to do backups at all, why would I then need a free version?
ANDRODIAN *D A T T A * SEZ ⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩ DATTA just installed and was about to use, then decided to watch the promo video. When he saw "POCKETNOW" condescending a(ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡'es , I Immediately uninstalled . This bunch told me in a youtube post to 'go to school and learn how to spell my own name' after I had posted a compliment. i Was a fan from the beginning until then! Anything "pocketnow'ish" i avoid!
Awesome Okay i dont understand why people giving bad comments and rates.. but for me.. this app is really gewd.. hope it will be for and for those who didnt like it.. hopefully the devs will find a way to win u guys back and most importantly tell u guys what this is all about and why u actually cant
