Just started using this app after finally getting my telescope out the loft after not using it for many years (one of my kids is actually interested in it!?). Bought this app because it had highest number of stars. I've only used it briefly but it seems amazing. I can point my screen Nat the sky and it tells me what I'm looking at which is fantastic. It also show where tree to expect meteors, comets, information on stars, cluster, dust clouds etc.. I haven't begun to use it to its full capacity and already loving it.
Wasted six bux The live sky feature that I most bought it for won't work because my thl smartphone doesn't have the required sensor. Can't they at least list what's required before you buy it or give some kind of compatibility warning? Ripped off!
Highly usable, nicely designed Flexible, seems accurate, efficient (doesn't seem to use power when left in background, unlike some apps). Maps are attractive(!) and detailed. New graphical alt-az allsky overview map is helpful and novel. (tho it 's less useful in per-object listings). As an active amateur I recommend this program heartily!
Best app ever! I love this app so much, it does just about everything! The only thing I dislike about this app is that live mode doesn't work on my tablet!!!! It only works on my phone. Is there anything you can do to make live mode work on a tablet?
Live view is not really live You can not point your phone to an actual spot in the sky above you and get an accurate image and description of the object. This app is advertised as being able to do just that in Live View, and it doesn't, not as described.
Excellent Takes a while to learn all it can do! At first could not see below the horizon but that came in later, perhaps needed time to load. Maybe more comments later.
- Automatic download of updated object descriptions
- Improved pointing for Live View (using Sensor Fusion)
