If you buy a cheap Android phone, it will work! Since I must record AT40 (Casey Kasem) 70s and 80s. Most phones such as my Galaxy S5 and Moto G LTE getting updated to Lollipop (5.0+) This app will no longer work. So I bought a $10 TracFone (LG15G). It's low-end as they come. But it's a phone I KNOW will NEVER see 5.0. So this is the way to go. Limited space. But most stations are low bit rate AAC anyway. So this is a way to keep using ZRadio when phones are upgraded. Choose a phone that won't be upgraded beyond 4.4.
Broken by Android 5 UPDATE: after my Galaxy S4 updated to Android 5, zRadio no longer records Scheduled recordings still execute, but they remain on 00:00:00 and don't record anything. Reinstalling didn't fix the problen. SERIOUSLY GREAT SHAME THAT THIS APP IS NOW BROKEN. ---previous review: --- *Blows TuneIn Radio away.* I've been a fan of Tune In radio for years... then they let some idiot with no programming skills bork every singl
Great Alternative to the Now Broken TuneIn Radio Pro I used to use TuneIn Radio Pro to do time shift recording of my favorite radio shows. Recent updates have "broken" TuneIn Radio so I was looking for an alternative. zRadio meets all my requirements. It is simple and straightforward. It will do timed recordings and does not require the sound to be played while recording. It records to a user defined location, which can include the SD card. I like the skip function to move ahead or back in 30 (or user defined setting) second steps. It was a bit difficult to find the radio station, I needed to use the station call letters rather than the more common station ID for the search. A minor issue. There are many nice features, including settings to limit the bandwidth used, to select WiFi only or allow data plan
Free version too brain damaged to form a good estimate 'Fraid I used Audials instead, because the free version is pretty brain damaged and it won't change the location recordings are placed in (at least not on my android 4.1 tablet). I want that choice even on the preliminary, free version! Audials works for me and does basically the same thing.
Excellent Recording App. Nicely thought out and easy to use. Works flawlessly on my Samsung Tab 3. No problem with Android 4.3. Try it for your self, its good.
Best internet radio recorder By far this is the best internet radio recorder in the market. I can record multiple stations at different times without any issues. Also this app supports different players you can also add any url stream and it will play it and or record it. Thank you. much.
Sorry for the long delay. Contact me if you want to receive the future beta versions of zRadio before I release.
