Umibudou is an outline editor where you simply add your thoughts line by line, and your ideas naturally become structured in a hierarchical order.
There's no need to start with a heading. First, write one line. Then, write related ideas on the next line. Indent, group, and rearrange. By repeating this process, your notes will gradually take shape.
■ One Line = One Item
A line break creates the next item, and indentation creates a sub-item. Items can be collapsed at any time to view the overall flow. Rearranging items, moving them up or down in the hierarchy, and moving multiple items at once are all done with just a few taps.
■ Switch Between Two Views
The outline view is for tracing the overall structure. The card view is for rearranging notes like spreading sticky notes on a desk. The editor remembers the display method for each note, so you can open it in the way that suits the content.
■ Features for Writing on Smartphones
A toolbar for indentation, movement, and checking appears above the software keyboard. You can manipulate the hierarchy with one hand. You can also check or complete items by swiping left or right.
■ Markdown and Diagram Support
Headings, emphasis, links, tables, and checklists can be used directly with Markdown syntax. It also supports inserting photos and previewing Mermaid-style flowcharts and sequence diagrams.
■ Find Your Writing
You can search in three ways: within this note, by tag, and across all notes. The tag list allows you to quickly navigate to items on the same topic.
■ Write Offline
Even in locations without a network connection, you can open and edit cached notes. When you return to the internet, your writing is automatically synchronized to the server.
■ Same Notebook as Your PC Browser
Since the server is the same, you can use the app when you're out and about, and your browser at your desk. Once logged in, the login screen won't appear until you log out yourself.
■ Note Sharing
You can show only the notes you want to share to people who know the URL. Public/private settings can be switched for each note, and the status is immediately visible in the list.
■ Choose your appearance
Choose from 10 themes including Outline Light/Dark, Card Folder, Sticky Note Deck, Wood Grain, and Fancy Cat. You can also change the font size.
■ Display Language
Supports Japanese and English.
