Praise the Sun! The lite was so good I felt it should be purchased.
Using this to help manage my blood pressure . . . Thank you so much Steven. I tried several apps and yours was best suited to my needs. The ads didn't bother me but I paid for it today to say thank you. I use this for 15 minutes every morning to aid me in taking slow breaths (less than 6 per minute) whilst breathing out for twice as long as breathing in. Resperate, a machine to help people do this would cost me £240! Because I don't need to think about timing I combine it with a mindfulness meditation and am feeling great since using it. I also use it 3 times a day for grip exercises using squash balls, which is also proved to reduce hypertension. I need to grip firmly for 5 seconds and then relax for a couple. With the headphones attached to my smart phone all I need to do is count the reps and this makes the task so much easier and actually enjoyable.
Too technical. Annoying sound. Tried this app and "Zen Breath Meditation". Go with the latter. This app is too technical, and with really annoying sounds. ZBM is straight to the point with better alarm system in the dark, and most importantly -comfortable- alarm breathing sounds.
I bet Dr. Weil would like this one..... I use this in connection with Dr. Andrew Weil's instructions from his CD, Breathing: The Master Key to Self Healing. It works beautifully, and compliments the 4-7-8 Breath technique well. Simple app, full of potential. Highly recommended!
Useful for COPD sufferers. Several years ago I was diagnosed with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, one of the recommendations my doctors gave me was to breathe more slowly and more deeply. Peaceful Breathing provides me ten minutes (or more) worth of practice a day at whatever speed I like. Peaceful Breathing is a great app and I am a greatful customer.
Best Deep Breathing App--and I've tried MANY Simple, Customizable, Effective. Developer is very responsive and clearly cares about putting out a good product. I requested a toggle to turn off the ending bell, since I use the app to lull me to sleep to treat my insomnia, and the ending bell was waking me up. A week later, the feature was added. I've been disappointed by most apps that I have downloaded--this is the rare exception.
* Better fix for Media Player Service continuing to run after breathing activities have stopped
