I really like this well-designed app so far. It's easy to use and provides lots of different optional info fields that can be searched. I'm For sidering buying the full version, but there is one thing holding me back: I've added some tags and pattern types that I now want to remove from these lists, because they are growing cluttered. Is there any way to do this? Also would love options to separately record data for different pattern items, e.g. A - top, B - pants, etc.
1) I wish there was a way to import the basic pattern info & picture from the pattern website so that you don't have to manually set up/enter each pattern into the app (e.g. barcode). That's a pain when you have a large stash of patterns you want to track. 2) It needs a way to check that a pattern hasn't been entered twice. 3) I wish it could export the data fields to Excel. Otherwise the format of the app & data fields are very helpful.
This is mostly great except if you're like me and have more than 25 patterns. After entering all thr information for the first 25 patterns suddenly i need to pay to add more. Also once you add a tag there is no way to edit the tag so if you mispell something you cant get rid of it. Its great if you only have a handful of patterns but if Im going to pay for it i expect more.
Worthless if you have a large collection of patterns. They do not tell you that the max free pattern space is 25. Also there are not enough size choices and you cannot delete any added categories.
I love this. I love the ease of it. The flexibility of it. And the look of it. Finally, a way to organize my patterns! I keep the templates hanging together but to have the detail of each - with notes and info at my fingertips is wonderful. I also love that I can use it on my laptop (a PixelBook at home) and my phone when I'm out and use the backup/restore function to keep both up to date. That's killer. I wished it had a way to catalog my fabric stash but I just realized I could actually do that by calling each fabric a pattern! Also I love that it comes from a developer in Invercargill - one of the neatest places on earth!
I've been using this app for about a year I guess, on and off because I'm busy, and I really like it. I liked it enough to buy the upgrade so I can store all of my patterns, because to me it is worth $4.99 to not keep buying the same ones by mistake! Also so I can easily carry around my yardage requirements without having to worry about losing my pattern or writing something down wrong. I especially like that when I emailed the maker with a problem, I got a very prompt response, and on a holiday too! I never expected that. I only wish that there were a way to enter the patterns more easily, such as scanning barcodes or entering the company and number. It is pretty time consuming to enter patterns this way and I know I would be sooooo much further into my cataloging if I did not have to take all of the photos and fill in all of the information while our little girl begs for me to hurry up so we can play. My other wish is that there was room for lining fabric, secondary fabric, etc as well as more slots for measurements as some of us don't fit into any size perfectly. Some of us really need both waist and hip, for instance. Still though, a great app :)
