The former Trips and Tickets app has been renewed as the Matkahuolto Matkat app. The app combines bus, train, ferry, and local transport schedules and routes into one smooth journey across Finland – even to Sweden and Estonia! Instead of using multiple websites or apps, you can plan your entire trip and purchase all your tickets in one place – in one go.

In the Matkat app, you plan your trip from address to address. With a single search, you see suitable public transport schedules, clear route options, and information on which tickets you need. In addition to single tickets, the app also offers a wide selection of regional or nationwide season and multi-journey tickets.

The Matkahuolto Matkat app brings convenience to travel planning and clarity to ticket management.

With the Matkat app, you can:

If I could give 0 stars I would, becuase the app doesnt even work. It says "enter your email and activate the app" but putting in an email does not work, nothing happens when you click "send" Logging in with facebook or google doesnt work either, it just takes you back to the "Hello!" side. I have reinstalled the app, changed password in my email, tried 5 times and nothing. It does not work at all, which is horrible since VR is the only other option for me and I dont want to support them!

Is there a reason you threw out the perfectly functional and simple ticket app and replaced it with this mess? I had my routes saved, and checking the schedules and buying tickets was quick and easy. Now I have to search for them every time, and it takes forever to even choose the destination, because while typing it in, it seems to be scanning the entire world map. This is so annoying to use! Did anyone even test this? If you wanted to push people to use your website instead, good job!

This app sucks. First of all, what kinda name is "trips and tickets" just name the app "Matkahuolto" or something, really annoying to try and find some playful little name that marketing used way too much money on. Second! It's horribly user UNfriendly. It only shows one trip per time, so you have to shuffle through earlier and later buttons to find a suitable option. Also the date system sucks. You do realize that people actually plan their trips? Not just hop on to the next bus that comes.
