Love this app First of all, ignore any reviews before September 2015- the new app is completely different. It is not perfect, but does everything I want it to. It displays my two temps and humidity in an easy to read format. No it does not do landscape and the axis titles are lacking, but I can always figure out what it is saying. It also always keeps me logged in so I am not sure about the problems some reviewers are having.
Bleh: on par with current live version On the surface this looks basically like the current live mobile site accessible via Lacrosse's website. There are some visual updates: gauge looks cleaner, animations here and there. But, no new functionality. No customization or controls for the chart. No way to reset historic data. I always wanted this feature, but now I need it: I have some invalid dates that cause problem's with And yeah, the gauge is the same as live site: alert indicators are rarely accurate.
Worse than web based Been using the web based for a year. Was forced to use this new app as my data was no longer sent to the Web as of Sept 1st. The app keeps deleting my alerts! I need these badly! Now when I put in -25 it reads +38 degrees, what is going on. Very dissapointed.
Works perfectly, the "gateway," thermometer, and app were easy to set up and connect, and it has stayed up to date even with 5 min intervals - just needs interface tweaks. Charts don't rotate. Don't need a splash screen every time I open the app. And user interface seems dated. No app notifications on my phone, just SMS texts? Notifications would allow you to bypass the phone's silent times with emergency notifications. Plus, silly I know, but the thermometer is always bright red even at below zero. Would be five stars if the app was slightly improved.
Works pretty well for my intentions. Since my cabin is 220 miles away and I get there just a couple times a month, I needed something to monitor the temp so I'd know if the furnace went out in the winter. My cabin is in northern MN where it's not unusual to see temps of minus 30 F. Since I'll be going up there in the winter, I don't want to winterize it. I tried a wifi thermostat but the wiring wouldn't work for my dual heat only system. The only thing I don't like about this app is that it doesn't refresh very often on my phone. I understand that it stills records every 15 minutes but I have to manually force close the app and reopen it, which isn't serious. I did just notice that the app on my computer does refresh automatically. All in all, I think the unit was a good investment.
Decent app The new mobile alerts only plots data every 30 minutes vice every time step before. Reduced resolution tracking with this degradation. New best fit plotting masks trends I used to be able to better observe.
