I love this app. I am a 23 year old Ojibwe who was raised outside the tribe, the language and culture are inseparable. I want to embrace my Native heritage and this app allows me to do just that. My tribe has Anishinaabemowin lessons online and i have learned pairing those with this app is a very effective learning effective.
Kids friendly and a nice reminder of home Being far from home it's great to hear familiar voices, a dialect my ears are fond of and to be able to practice the language. My kids love it for being able to see images of familiar people, hear familiar voices, and especially love that they can record themselves speaking and play it back. "MOM! That's Auntie Phyllis' voice!" the best reaction I've heard from my daughter while using the app.
Language Gives Us Everything A long time ago I heard soemone say, "traditionally, we were a contemporary Peoples." Embracing technology in our communities is essential - thanks to Wikwemikong FN for being a leader in language revitalization.
Tell Your Friends! The Anishinaabemowin App is reaching out to you as a learner to help spread the news that it is now here. If you are studying the language and would like to learn more, this App is one of the most educational stepping stones you will ever take. Pass on this experience as much as possible; and let's bring Anishinaabemowin back home.
Amazing app As a descendant of the Ojibwe it's still hard to find materials for the language. My aunt teaches it and I have much of the learning materials but the phonetics in this app make it much more understandable.
Fantastic Fantastic useful app.Just one thing ,32 categories in language but I can see only 31? Hungry for more ,so waiting for update or part two.
