My only difficulty is when I must set up /move my account to a new device. I downloaded the Laridian program easily. THEN takes forever to find how to move my books onto the new device.....like is happening now!
If you don't register to get other books besides the lonely KJV bible which is the only one included, it ALWAYS opens the app with a multi-page explanation of why you should. If you click "Done" (which I could hardly read due to the overlapping text), instead of "Register Now", it takes you to yet another page of why you should register. In other words, they should just let us know that registration is required in order to use it without repeated harassment, though they will argue that technically we don't have to. While this method of annoyance and difficulty is expected from those in the world who don't know Jesus, I would hope for more straight-forwardness from those building a bible app.
This ap is consistently usable. However, there are glaring errors in the placement of verse numbers and titles. Titles should not be included in marking verses. Also, to be really helpful there needs to be a way to mark individual words and phrases, especially since the verses are often in the middle of sentences and paragraphs. An expansion of the possible colors or outline for highlights would be great. I first used over 10 years ago on a different phone and appreciated their content and ease of use. Android came along and I didn't use Laridian. However, because of continuing problems with an Android App I decided to give PocketBible a try. Much to my surprise and pleasure all my downloads and purchases from before were still on record. I would like some additional options such as being able to bookmark or highlight words or phrases, especially since the verses are not part of the original text and often occur in awkward or improper places. The selection for bookmarks and highlights includes non-essential material such as titles be headings. There are some misspelled words and grammar mistakes. However, PocketBible and Laridian are still one of the best Bible Apps.
I have been using this app for over 15 years. There is nothing not to like about the app. Synchronizing between computer, tablet, and phone works great with notes, highlights, and bookmarks. And most Bible version's available plus most can be used off line.
Still needs some UX polish, but very happy to see the Laridian library on Android. The available library and reading guides are fantastic.
Having used many Bible apps over many years, this app is the most feature rich and comprehensive of them all! A major advantage is that is syncs with the sister Windows program as well (platform independant).
