Beta Better than stable version I've been using juice defender for years. Eventually purchased Plus, then Ultimate. Loved the extra settings. While doing a search to see if any new products are out, I found the Beta version. I actually save even more battery now. Wasn't sure what to expect, so keep up the great work!
good have Ultimate installed over the beta version on a rooted GNex with CM10. Getting 4-5 days of medium-heavy use out of a ~2800 mAh extended battery. JD works great, love all the tweaks including per-app data/WiFi/Bluetooth/GPS controls. And scheduling so my phone switches to airplane mode when I'm sleeping. Also the reduced screen brightness function. (Doggone AMOLED displays suck a lot of power.) One thing I'd like to see is per-app CPU controls. Don't need 1350 MHz unless gaming hehe.
Worked well, latest update borked Used to get about 2-3 days with moderate use, but subsequent updates kind of stopped working. Barely got 1-1/2 day with light use :-(, even my tablet have same issue. Earlier used to give 4-5 days now hardly a day or two :-(, trying out other alternatives in the meantime.
Got a problem with JuicePlotter! A sterling app standalone but JuicePlotter does not see/recognize it and the widget fails, the plot screen indicates Defender is not installed. Both work individually but the link between them seems to be broken. May have to go back to the regular Ultimate.
Excellent This is a great app! Definitely does what it says. batt life extended x1.68 right now, x1.70 peak with free beta on Samsung galaxy s with gingerbread 2.3.5. Could easily get at least x2.00 with one of the paid builds I bet. Wish the free version was just a little more customizable though, that would get five stars for sure!
Development stalled Being a beta one would've expected frequent updates. As this beta has not been updated for almost eighteen months one must assume development of juice defender has stalled. A pity. Such a beta should be withdrawn from the market.
