[[was] doesn't do anything.] Ok, so it does help with settings, and some of those settings, like the equalizer, were quite helpful. As the reader might guess from this edit, none of this worked out of the box. In fact, I couldn't get it to connect until I had updated the firmware. Prior to this I was considering returning these ear buds as defective. Now I'm of the opinion that this is a fine product, but could have wished for a better out of box experience.

Hi Evan-Thank you for the feedback. Please make sure that you install the required Jabra Service app in addition to the Jabra Sound+ app and that your headset is paired to the phone. If the headset is not recognized by the app, please force quit the Sound+ app and turn off the headset. Then launch the Sound+ app again and power the headset back on.

The Jabra headset itself is great, absolutely excellent battery life -and you couldn't reasonably ask for a faster recharge time. However, functionality within the Jabra application is ludicrously bad, and even requires that I select a model that is different from my own to obtain functionality. FAQ is cripplingly awful, and despite owning this model for over 4 years, I cannot disable vibration when called -which is AWFUL when I'm trying to sleep!

Practically Useless. If you turn off the app, you have to pair your device EVERY SINGLE TIME. The only way to find a lost device is to keep this app constantly running in the background of your phone. I have a device that was connected to my phone, I know it's within range because I can see that it's connected in my bluetooth settings, but I cannot do locate because I had the app turned off when I wasn't using my device. It's ridiculous that the app requires you to re-pair the device.
