So long baconreader Found out about Sync on the baconreader subreddit no less! BR no longer works with gfycat, and they can't seem to fix it, or don't care. Sync works with pretty much everything I've found linked on reddit, and looks great doing it. Much cleaner interface, snappier performance, and the AMOLED theme is outstanding. Worth a few bucks to go ad free. Fully functional mod tools, multiple view options. Great app!
Settings Bug Still a nice reddit app however it doesn't currently save settings. Every time I go in and select different visual settings (night mode, compact tile, etc.) it forgets them as soon as I back out of the menu. Hopefully this can get fixed so I can browse the way I like!
Ridiculous clickbait style ads? Other than that I love this app, but they're so obnoxious and lame I have to dock two stars. Appreciate the reply from dev, bumped a star now that I know I can toggle the ads to a banner style, but it wasn't actually the type, I prefer the type, it's the content of the ads and how they're designed to be straight up clickbait disguised as normal posts.
Good, but getting worse [Edited: fixed!] I like Sync much better than the official app, but for a while now it's failed to load additional comments (anything aside from what's originally displayed in a thread). Obviously this isn't acceptable and if it isn't fixed soon I'll just end up switching to another reader. Edit: The champ retakes the title!! Thanks for the fix!
Suggestions 1. Can you bring back swipe-to-dismiss in both directions? This used to be a feature but now only works when swiping left. Unfortunately previous versions have trained me to swipe right for months (maybe years) and it's become an ingrained habit, help! 2. When it loads imgur links (possibly other photo hosts too) in-app, the photo loads to fill the screen, but when the advertisement at the bottom loads it does not resize the image, leaving a small portion covered by the ad - slightly annoying in some cases
Great app but The app looks neat but would love the option to swipe posts. This way i wont have to return to the subreddit home to open a new post.
- All snackbars can now be swiped away
- Added Android N split screen support
- Fixed a few crashing issues
