Ratings and reviews

Have been a power user for a while, but the addition of subscription-gated features is concerning. Nothing vital so far, but leaves me questioning the future of the app. Additionally, images and videos frequently fail to load, I believe due to the underlying service (glide?) bring incompatible with my VPN. These two issues are disappointing since this is otherwise a great reddit client

Had always been an awesome app with a great UI, but the last few months I've had major issues with functionality. About half the time, videos won't load at all, gifs take minutes to load a 10 second clip, and even pictures take several seconds to load. Not sure what's going on, but it basically becomes unusable half the time.

One step forward, 2 steps back. While there are more features added like flairs, they removed so much customizability in the form of not letting you change your theme much at all anymore. You either get a black background or a white background. In addition to that they implemented ads to the free version of sync even if you bought the remove ads feature on it, just absurd. Feels like they were forcing me onto this newer version just to shill out their new subscription service called "Ultra"
