A lot of work has obviously gone into this but it's not good enough. It never gets a gps fix even when google maps does. That doesn't make sense. Entering location manually with lat long and elevation does not match the google earth scheme which most people would refer to, and could be confusing even though i was able to work it out. It does however seem to track the sky correctly. But where are the constellation names? I don't find this useful in its current incarnation. Good work has been done, but it needs more work.
For those who keep complaining about it not finding your location etc... My guess says the problem is with your phone. I have had zero issues and it located my precise latitude and longitude as well as distance above sea level from my basement... Don't blame the app, either get a better phone or recalibrate the one you have!
I was just staring at the moon and wanted to know the name of the bright object next to it... When I searched for the moon this app tells me it's behind me and WAY below the horizon. Then what the hell am I staring at that people keep telling me is the moon? Not very useful if it can't even locate the largest object in the night sky.
Use this for finding out what I'm pointing my camera out. Helped me find Jupiter and name some bright stars in the night sky. Works great. Can be a bit laggy on tracking. Might be my phone
I just cannot thank u enuf for this amazing app! I live in the city & this allows me to "see" everything I'd otherwise miss. It's beautiful, accurate, in depth & easy to use. Not to mention it's FREE! Thank you for all your hard work! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS APP!!!
The BEST planetarium available anywhere! Have every feature that will be helpful, during the time, gazing up in the night sky. Recommended to all amateurs. Helps in getting to know what you see, and helps to track others as well. Really an Awesome app! Thank You for creating it.
