4) To print-out and distribute your weekly hymn schedule, use the 'print-screen' or 'screen snapshot' feature on your phone or tablet, and then from your photos folder print or email that image to your desired recipient.

Conceptual Synopsis:

There are typically 52 Sundays in a year less two General Conferences and two Stake Conferences equals 48 Sundays that congregational hymns are chosen and sung at the local Ward level;

Times 3 hymns (opening, sacrament, and closing; and sometimes an intermediate) per Sunday equals 144 hymns minimum (192 maximum) sung each year.

Challenge:

Out of the 308 congregational hymns, many hymns sung are sung often repeatedly, year after year, time and again, while other hymns (some rare musical jewels) are never chosen or rarely sung.

Solution:

The LDS Hymnal Scheduling App (a sophisticated organization matrix) allows the client user to see which hymns have been sung and which ones un-sung. The app can reduce the current chicken-and-egg never-sung, never-learned, never-sung, phenomena. However, as familiarity with songs not often sung increase, they will more likely be sung and greater appreciated.

I've been using this app for two months now and I'm really enjoying it. The only thing I wish the app had is the ability to use free text in the 'Intermediate' space so I can keep track of ward choir performances and other musical numbers that aren't a congregational hymn. All in all, I really like this app and I wish I had discovered it a long time ago.

I would pay $20 for this app if you would add collaboration. This makes hymn selection SO much more pleasant. Filtering by topic, sorting by most used, tracking number of times the song's been used--these are thoughtful, meaningful, useful features. Thank you for this gift to the community...

For the life of me I cannot understand why the app has put in stake conference 2 weeks in a row and not on my stake conference weeks. I cannot figure out how to change it AND it has frozen so I cannot input hymns to any other weeks. I hate to lose my year of hymns. What can I do to fix this besides delete the app and try a reinstall?
