App doesn't speak All this app is, is a grid of sight words. You touch the word, it shakes, and then it is hidden. Once you've touched all the words on the grid, you move to the next list. It is supposed to speak, but it doesn't. And yes, I've adjusted the settings and the volume, to no avail. Luckily it was only $0.99 so I haven't wasted much money, but it's still annoying to pay for and download an app that doesn't work at all. I had hoped to use it in reading rotations as an independent activity (touch, listen, say) while I worked with other children, and I now need to make sure I am constantly present/checking-in during the activity so it isn't really helpful to me at all. The only good thing about it is that is creates a new way to expose children to these sight words, but the app loses it's novelty as it is really boring.
