Why smart charging?
The demand for energy is not even during the day. Especially when people come home after work there is an enormous load on the electricity grid, which makes gas and coal plants very necessary. Smart charging allows your vehicle to charge during off-peak hours when the supply of wind and solar energy is higher and the price of energy is lower.

What can I do in the app?
1. Connect your LeasePlan car and charge point.
2. Start smart charging. We make sure your car is charged to the desired charge level before your next departure. You save CO2 with every smart session!
3. Switch to the green energy contract of LeasePlan Energy. Your charging costs are automatically reimbursed. Ans you save around € 150 per year on your household energy bill.

Can anyone use LeasePlan Energy?
LeasePlan Energy is currently only available to drivers with a LeasePlan car and charge point (New Motion excluded). In the coming months, we will make our smart charging app available to a broader market.
