• Overall the app is very good. There is some fine tuning needed to make the app user friendly and to offer a stress free experience to the end user. First of all the coloured short cut buttons should be laid out on the home screen. The footprint for the volume and channel buttons should be reduced to allow the coloured buttons to be placed. Much like a virtual Tv remote. The apps need to be organised like on a smart phone. Allow for folders to be added on the second screen so that relevant apps are catalogued such as communication. Entertainment. Settings. Inputs/outputs and display mirroring.
It used to work with my 49UF8007 WebOS TV. A few months ago it stopped working. I have latest TV firmware and latest app. TV and phone are on same subnet. All other network functionality that require communication between TV and phone work fine, but this app does not find the TV at all. I replaced my phone recently but it did not help to get connected to my TV again using this app.
Sadly, it's bot great. Won't allow to pass only sound to the TV. Playing spotify had some lag because it also pass the screen info and drain battery. You can stream music stored on your device but not those playing online. BT allow to use cell to connect to other BT device to the tv, but it cannot connect itself to stream music. Weird. It doesn't offer either a view of current app used on tv, so you can't remotely operate the tv on your cell/tablet. For example: OLED65C6P on YouTube music playlist, sending music to dual zone receiver (playing outside). Can't control the playlist not because of range but lack of any hint of where to click on the remote app touchscreen.
Overworking in the background. Very poor at the moment. It was mediocre before but there was a basic level of functionality... Latest versions work great on a Nexus 6p... Without the battery drain, that plagued the previous versions , making me uninstall it...Now working properly
Can you please add a setting to allow specifying the IP address of the TV manually? Some routers have wired and wireless devices on different subnets which prohibits auto discovery, and this option would allow us to use our TVs that are on Ethernet while our phone is on WiFi.
I was worried about the permissions it demands, but uninstalling simply because the functionality is incredibly basic. All it gives me is a few basic controls, and a simple list of channels in a vaguely random order. No sign of programme info shown in the screenshots. Not even any ability to type, which would be handy for searches. TV: 49UH850V. Also would be handy to specify TV by IP address for those of us with complicated networks.
- Stabilization of automatic pairing function
