Music selection is pretty sad, the search feature is terrible, app UI just okay - there's definitely a learning curve. Also craps out a LOT. Today all my downloads just disappeared and the app kept crashing. Aside from these issues, it's great to have access to some no-ads, free music through my library.

working to reduce corporate stranglehold of my life, so exploring diversifying music sources. love freegal and my library, great potential, some issues with the application. large playlists sometimes cause the app to crash. current music playing doesn't appear in phone's drop down with other current audio sources. at times I am getting "invalid streaming request 203" message. no way to favorite artists. problems with artist metadata. I might update the review as I keep using 🫡

The app itself is just ok and misses features of most modern music/audio apps. Please add ability to remove items from recently played. And a filter for languages and explicit items (don't rely on the library to do that for you), change playback speed. Privacy is concerning. Asks for all kinds of permissions that it doesn't need: location, advertising id, view network connections, retrieve running apps, read phone status and identity. Will uninstall. Not with the risk
