Great speaker but they need to hire some Android programmers. You can only save 5 stations. 5 stations! If you listen to a lot of Internet radio stations you will need search for them everytime. It needs a station library feature to store your stations. [update] Changed my review after app update. There is so much to love about this speaker, and now the app is rapidly catching up... [update again] we continue to love this speaker, great sound. I would still love to see the app improved. The current song info is not shown in the app. Almost all other Internet radio apps will show the current song metadata.
Updated Review: New update has fixed all Android compatibility issues! Hallelujah! Connected 2 Zipp Minis, one connected perfectly over WiFi the other I had to connect using the alternative direct method provided by Libratone and then I could finish connecting over WiFi. Both now work flawlessly. Shout out to Libratone customer service who answered my inquiries immediately and with genuine concern and obviously worked with their software staff to fix the issues. Fantastic speakers supported by a now excellent app. Tip from Libratone customer service: when connecting speakers to WiFi use the 2.4GHz not the 5GHz channel to minimize issues.
Google version of the in ear firmware stuck at 72, latest supposed to be 96 I thought. Also people say they can't hear me well, would be nice if we could adjust the mic volume
Latest firmware means I once again have 2 x zipps that so not work, this is a nightmare, for 5 day's endless hard reset, app reloads and still the speakers will not setup with the android. The instructions on the libratone site will leave you baffled, as soon as you get to steps 4 & 5 then it's game over, this is not the first time in have had issues with this kit, last time it took nearly 2 month's to sort out.
I'm not sure why I have to tap allow every time I plug-in the Libratone USB-C earbuds? It is quite annoying
I bought the Lib zip the speaker it self sounds okay but the app is by far one of the worst I have used I contacted the company for advice through there rep. In John Lewis just after Christmas but haven't heard anything . All I have been told is reset the device by the rep. Who was not technically traind not a happy customer
