Review from Troy Wheetley
Wonderful Tool LinkedIn has proven to be a wonder tool for advancing my professional career. Whether you are in transition or happily employed, there are some great and effective features here.
Bugs persist Contact Sync does not work on my Galaxy S7 edge. The option to "Only sync info for contacts already on this device" will unhelpfully sync all my other LinkedIn contacts directly to my phone with every update. It is easy to remove these newly created contacts again by selecting the option "Don't sync my contacts", but LinkedIn information gets removed from all my contacts including the ones I want it for. Such a basic feature that doesn't work. Pity. It could have been useful. Uninstalled.
Recommended Jobs is almost useless Can we please have some sort of location filter on"jobs recommended for you"? Every job that appears in the list is from Ontario, Quebec, or Vancouver. Moving is a last resort for me. I want to be able to set those jobs two to three provinces away as lowest priority, or don't show up at all unless I request them. Provide options closer to homes or don't bother.
Usable, but not user friendly No ability to edit comments. Especially frustrating as you can't long press-copy, do you have to delete and start again. Annoying if you have typed in a long response. This is one of several basic faults with this app. It's alright bit with some work it could be much better
LinkedIn is awesome the app is not Everything is so cluttered. The app was working fine untill they updated it and now it doesn't remember my username or password and I can't be bothered with remembering them either. Will stick with the good ol PC version...so far it hasn't let me down
The warts There is now way to set new email addresses from withkn the ap. It also does not update asdresses from ones main LinkedIn account when they change aparently. There is no way to do a national job search... seriously LinkedIn... it is NOT 1817, 1917, but 2017! Get off your duff and start THINKING like your customer base!
Still lot of work to do Having a glimpse of a user's profile before accepting is still a pain as much as it is removing an existing connection. Other issues with the job listing orders for instance or the inability to raise request for recommendations or give one.
