Does what you'd expect - but also does things we've learned to expect! I found suggested contacts linked-in should never have had the information to be able to suggest, and which could only have come from one of two sources. Predictably enough, I discovered found that the app defaults to sending my addressbook to their servers. Marvellous - I'll never get that toothpaste back in the tube again. But yes, I shouldn't have been surprised.
Incredible... I mean, incredible how one of the most popular sites, years into the game already, has such a poor user experience. There are so many big and little things to be improved upon: Profiles, searches (accuracy, and ease of use in general), viewing people who recently viewed me, the 'fake' in-app browser that doesn't work, view archived messages, un-archive a message, view recently added/accepted contacts... As one user said, "Miles to go."
Linked In is okay. Is allows me to write my professional info online, like a professional bio, and I have gotten a few calls from employers who were interested in me after seeing me on Linkin In. I also send messages to friends and professional contacts through Linked In. I endorse colleagues when I know their professional skills and they endorse my professional skills. It does bug me a little with too many email messages and I've considered making it junk mail, but I keep it in my inbox because you never know when some great employer might see me.
Nice clean interface for LinkedIn on the go, I wish they would take out the endorsement feature though all together. Everyone endorses everyone for Microsoft Word and Excel....
Necessary With life being so busy - without this app, I probably wouldn't bother to check in on my LinkedIn account. Thanks guys!
Too complicated! I didn't like the fact that congrats are sent personally instead of a post. People who receive it usually don't know why (some of them asked me as LinkedIn shows that one has "a new position" even if they added that they work there since 2012). So, lets make things clear: a post is something where we all can interact and comment - a private message is nice when I need to say something personal. Both are useful.
