Cardiovascular diseases are the main cause of morbidity and mortality in Portugal. This application aims to sensitize society to cardiovascular health, making known the cardiovascular system, its main diseases and how to prevent them.
Primary and secondary school teachers will be able to use this application as a reference material, in which the contents, when viewed in augmented reality, will become attractive and easy to understand. Children and young people will be able to use this application as a complement to their individual study and knowledge sharing in a family environment. Doctors will be able to use the application, facilitating communication with their patients.
This application, developed by the Cardiovascular Center of the University of Lisbon (CCUL), promotes cardiovascular health literacy and contributes to the prevention, control and reduction of cardiovascular disease globally.
This project was funded by Ciência Viva - National Agency for Scientific and Technological Culture, under the Communicate Health contest.
