Returning after 10 yrs. Here are suggestions. Glad to be back, but this app needs help. 1. Allow option for phone's autocorrect to function in posts. 2. Allow profile theme to be visible in app. (Surely you know that was half of the reason my generation got into blogging - the ability to customize the page.) 3. Too many pages navigate to the Webpage. Make more functions available in app. It was a serious brain-bender for me to add a userpic! Fixing these things I think will give users confidence in livejournal. And I want that for you guys, and for me.

Reasonable, but could be better I do lots of food blogging. I like to take pictures on my phone, so a reasonable LJ app is important. For writing blog posts, this app is reasonable. I cannot seem to add photos from the SD card, but I created an album on internal memory, and that works. However, recently I stopped being able to read my own posts. This used to work, but now the app crashes. I suspect that LJ changed something and the app needs an update.

Gesso been using Android for journal ..2yrs...and got hacked by way of simple charity... but lost all when had to factory reset. Inc plcs of oldest son who was killed in 2007.. Thank you. ..hey is it with expandable space.... I'm finally editing journal since 8th grade 72.... and phone is just soooo handy.. . I love you already. I'll get back to you when further along..for your review. But plz read it b4 .....I rated u over the top just cause.... don't let me get NEEDY. .. THANKS

Good BUT user pics choice missing For me without WiFi/ broadband this app has been a godsend.No more losing my post,place or the writing of the post jumbled up.Simple straightforward I can post easily & upload photos easily too.But & this is a major issue for me,you can't use,choose or add user pics & as I have over 140 user pics that I very much want to use this is deeply annoying as I feel it is an integral part of LJ, something that very much keeps it above Facebook & Twitter. User pics express much better how I feel. Please FIX this!

I would give it more stars IF I used to love Live Journal. I decided to start using it again, so I downloaded it. The picture that they are using here is deceptive. It makes you THINK you can add pictures to your journal. I thought this would be so cool. But when I tried, I kept getting error messages. So I contacted the developer. They responded back stating that the app is no longer supported and that I could go online to add pictures. Well, why not change the picture in Google Play and take out the option in the app?

LJ was my first love... I got past and stopped using my livejournal when facebook and all the others became the newest, latest, greatest.... but I honestly miss it and wish I had never left!!! I'm hoping to restart my account and make it so much better that maybe I can convince friends to help me bring it back to popularity within our crew! We wrote so more personally and it wasn't the same as this free character "thought" mess.... we used ours too talk about LIFE; In more depth than allotted by Facebook; I'm bringing it back!!

East to Use To anyone complaining you can't log in- of course not! LJ doesnt allow 2 instances of logins, so log out on your PC before trying it. That said- this is extremely easy to use, intuitive, and enjoyable. I only will be using it for posts on the go, so I won't comment on much else.

Fix bugs? Haha. Fire your testers, anyway. When I tapped on my name, I received "Unfortunately, app is stopped". In browser this action reditects to creating new journal. How I can get my settings and journals? Kids write apps better

Good, but couple VERY annoying bugs Generally big improvement on interface from previous app, but a couple of things make it almost unusable and are very frustrating : 1) no way to set posts to default "only me" 2) autocorrect and swiping do not work in the post field, typing is a torture. Strangely it works at any other fields but the one where it is most critical

Doesn't seem to work with our android virtual keyboards for error correction or predictive text. You can't really navigate anywhere but default friends feed. It's awkward for other LJ tasks like reply to comments or edit feed. On the plus side, let's you upload photos, do lj-cut, rich text, etc when making a post.

Several issues I have this installed on my Droid Maxx phone and Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 and have the same issues on both....lagging when editing a post or client error post too large notices. Also figured always is displayed as div and this upsets me because I write stories on LJ I share and if they read it on this it makes me look like I have poor editing skills. Please fix!

App stops whenever I try to access a friend's profile. I can only read entries when they are on the friend's page, but when I try to tap on the user to check their profile, the app just stops. Also, I only see comments and messages directly sent to me. I cannot see comments on my posts in the community. It would be much better if we get a notification every time we receive comments and messages without actually opening the app. I like the app, but it needs more improvement.

Pretty good, pretty major flaws Overall, this is quite a good journaling app, or it would be, but there's a few major flaws that ruin it. Not correctly acknowledging keyboards and predictive text makes the app almost unusable (I write my entries in Google Keep then paste them into the app because it's still better than using the website on my phone). And not letting me select any of my user icons except the default makes me wonder why I paid for extra ones (permanent account holder). Could be great, isn't.

Needs major work Easy to update and read friends pages. Have my journal set to friends only, months after using app I realize it isnt using my set up prefrences so they are all public posts. Also wont let me into my journal to see my posts so I can't fix this. Crashes every time :( And it should have a way to notify you if someone comments or replies.

Year 2015 And still can't make anything useful... App doesn't respect LJ settings. Doesn't allow any operation but add record or delete record. And worse than this, having such limited functionality it uses so much CPU. what for? Can't browser friends feed earlier than couple weeks back. Any journal can't browse more than couple pages back.

Awful usability. As long s I use this app, they haven't add a possibility to see and vote in polls as well as redirection to a certain scission, where I got a comment in my message. Moreover last few weeks I wasn't able to see my friend list, literally saw a white screen. After logging out, I can't log in anymore. Either returns an error message or simply continuously proceed my request without any result

This app is completely unusable. It refuses to recognize my keyboard correctly, so autocorrect/autopredict functions do not work at all. Pictures cannot be uploaded either (attempts are met with a 'file not found' error). The mobile site isn't a good alternative because it won't allow photo uploading either. Very frustrating now that I'm being forced to ditch Facebook and come back to my much-beloved LJ.

Despite the comments I was really hoping this would work but it turns out that it won't really let me do anything and everytime i try to post something it says 'invalid user' and exit's from where i was writing. Read comments and still thought i should give it a try.. Disappointment, indeed.

Still a worthless app! I wrote a review of this app 2 years ago about not being able to use my keyboard with the app and still I can't. There's no support for this app at all. I downloaded it for the first time in forever and couldn't post with pictures. Kept telling me the pictures were not found. I hate this app. I hate the mobile Web page. Why do I pay for a journal that has no support at all?!

I've always been able to be logged in simultaneously via both my browser and the app. Now I suddenly can't log in with the app; I enter my username and password and it never goes past the "Loading ..." message. It sits there for several minutes before crashing. This has only been an issue since the highly unpopular new TOS (which neither the app nor the website have prompted me to review/accept) arrived, so it feels like one more train wreck from LJ's Russian management.

Useless... won't even work anymore My Google keyboard with the swype ability activated doesn't work in this app. Extremely annoying. Update as of 3/2/16 -- this app is useless, it won't even let you log in anymore. Every time I try, the app crashes. Uninstalled and am using the mobile site.

The app used to be fine, although my phone's autocorrect didn't work so it took extra effort to type. Now, it has stopped letting me sign in, saying my username or password is incorrect, despite them being fine on my comp. Or, it just doesn't load at all. I've tried uninstalling and I have since (unrelated) gotten a new phone. It's a big let down that I can't use the app anymore and I don't understand why this issue has lasted for months.

It's decent but unfortunately- I cannot search up accounts! I try to search up accounts on the app using the search feature, so I can read their journals, but then it freezes after clicking on their name, and I am given a black screen and a Submit Error Report box afterwards :( would love to give more info if needed.

Fix it I loved this app until I can't log into my account. I thought I loss password. Even reset function doesn't work. I can't log in username & password correct I can't log in through browser not app. Please fix problem. It was working a day ago for me. Very disappointed.

I love that the LJ app is well-designed. Pictures don't take long to load; i can update even if i'm away from the pc. I just noticed a minor bug: when the word "figure" appears in entries it's displayed as "div" instead. What's up with that?

Still can't log in even though I have signed out everywhere else and have no issues with logging back in from the computer. Was able to sign in using app only once in the past two weeks. Impossible to use this app

meh. it keeps on crashing. and so far everything is meh. i wish you'd improve on the options some more as I can't even go to a community and add them to a group inside the app. I have to manually do it on my laptop instead. some more fixing and everything would be better.

Works, but not very well I have to write in a different app and paste into this due to keyboard issues on the app. Also photos will not post in the app. I find reading my friends list is better through chrome than through the app.

Seriously Buggin' Started to not show any entries, just a constant loading icon. I went ahead and uninstalled and reinstalled thinking that would solve the issue. Now as I tried to log in, I'm getting the constant loading icon again and not even able to log in at this point. Please fix this before I go back to a different LJ app. Thanks!

Horrible I don't understand how LiveJournal has existed for this long and has an app this horrible. My auto correct on my phone doesn't work for entries, sometimes I can't sign in for no reason, interface is confusing, etc. I have to write my entries in a note pad and then paste it into the journal entry field. The best part is that there are no viable alternatives so I have to keep using this. Thanks.

The update messes with the keyboard - the autocorrect doesn't work. Also, I have the old icon still on my phone, but when I try to open it it tells me to update. If I uninstall it, it uninstalls the new updated version as well. Very buggy.

Crashes constantly now EDIT 9-9-16 The app crashes every time I try to view my own posts. I can view friends posts and post new posts, but I can't see my past posts or know if there were any comments. This makes the app functionally useless for me.

Okay for reading ...but not for posting. My Swype keyboard won't work in it, so I have to touch each letter individually, which is a pain on a touch screen. Also it automatically capitalizes Every Word I Type. Extremely annoying.

Needs work Needs the ability to be the default app for LiveJournal links from other apps. This is essential. Additionally, needs more text customization options. Lost 2 more stars for sitting on your thumbs doing nothing for months.
