Wow! This is an amazing Swiss Army knife tool. Easier to use than Tasker (which I've been using for a few weeks). Compared to Tasker, Automate is intuitive, writing scripts is fast, and it runs more reliably (the inconsistency of Tasker drove me away). Automate also hosts a really organized community of user-created content. You can download and contribute within the app! I learned by example quicky and got a lot of my Tasker operations converted painlessly. Before making the switch to this app, I was concerned about battery and CPU resources. The developer responded to my concern within hours of posting my first review! So far, GSam is showing that my 5 running fibers are using negligible battery and CPU. Nice! I purchased premium to support the project and run more blocks. It's worth it.
Allowed me to uninstall few apps which are now obsolete in favor of few short and simple fibers. Additionally it allowed me to create functionality I didn't had before. After one day of usage I bought it not thinking much :). Worth every spent penny. Edit: After using it more than a year, I totally sustain my opinion. It's best so far. And cheap. Only wish I have is that the developer could agree more to make features needed by users - for now he is not very happy to agree with us, he has his own vision which may be also ok, but this app is for us also... So... Ok... Let's wait and see...
Inovative. Set this app to turn off my wifi when I leave home. Turn on my Bluetooth when I am driving and connect to my car and play my music. When some one texts me while im driving it auto replies telling them im driving. When I'm done driving it turns off my Bluetooth and stops playing music. When I get home it turns wifi back on. All automated.
A lot of core features but it didn't have what I wanted. The sms received block only allow phone number for input variable. I wish it is able to detect wordings for the recipient and detect text in the message sent by that recipient to trigger my following set of commands.
Excellent app, I just wish that all of the modules had better explanations for the arguments. Some of them (such as the delay function) are really easy to understand/are intuitive, but most others have very little explanation as to how they work or what they require. Overall it's an amazing tool once you learn how to use it, but learning how to use it can be challenging.
This is a really good app and as a developer I had no difficulty in creating the flowcharts but some of the blocks could be named better. I am interested in upgrading to premium but read a review by a user who stated that after an update to the app, it reverted to the free and 30 block limited version.
