Sometimes not always accurate, I knew for A FACT my man was at work and it located him someplace hella far away. Yall better be careful you might be ending relationships lmao. Great for finding your phone when you lose it :)
Most of the time it works. But recently it notified me that my husband was on a mountain. Then a few min later out in the country. Then a few min later across the bridge in the next town over. Then shortly after that in the middle of the river. I bawled my eyes out bc I thought he jumped off the bridge and was dead. Then he called me 10 min later and was still at work....
90% of the time the service works spot on. I have found my husband's phone with in minutes of knowing that he had lost it again. Though sometimes the service gives false readings and it will be all over the place. It does work on IPhones, not with the accuracy of an Android, this is something that needs to be worked on.
I used this last summer when my wife and daughter or traveling cross-country to California at the time they both had Android phones now they have iPhone along with my son and the app does not work, it gives you a general idea of where phones are but never exact. The area that I drive in for work never has a strong network connection so I never can update to see where my phones are generally located at. No bueno Sprint charging me for this crap!
I'm telling you sprint get it together, your service is half of what it should be and this app isn't worth a wooden nickel since the last 2 updates! I'm a Cell Tower Transponder Tech so I know all too well who has the best locator service. Sprint is going to start losing more customer base if you don't get it together soon, the competition has left Sprint in the back of the pack. Example: Before the last 2 updates it was very accurate. "Now" my fiancé can be at work for lets say an hour, the locator will show shes still at home. And of course I've driven by there and her car is in the lot! We're paying for a Top Shelf App and getting a low budget service. Sprint, spend some money on hardware and software upgrades or many of us won't be signing up for another round!
I used to love this App it was on point and accurate. Until I purchased another Galaxy Note 5 and had to reinstall Sprint Family Locator again. Now the App. is continuously messing up. It may or may not start searching right away although I have programed to do so. The App. freezes with half the map or it cannot find location and keeps going around and around. I uninstalled twice then reinstalled hoping that would help. It has to be the Apps Network.
